Anonymous asked: You and Danny are an awesome couple..how do you guys stay together for so long?? Marriage in the future ;)?? lol

Thanks for the compliment :) My first instinct was to troll on this answer and say something sarcastic, but instead I will answer 100% honestly, since I love talking about myself anyway.

So here it is:

1. We each make the other person want to be better.

2. We remember to continually be overly-generous with each other.

THIS IS SO IMPORTANT!!! I don’t mean like spending $$$$ on gifts for each other during every freaking holiday, but just being willing to share what we have without having contempt towards the other person. « I see that much too often with some people. Contempt towards one another is the ultimate downfall of a relationship.

3. We make each other laugh a lot.

4. Open communication; no brainer.

5. Doesn’t hurt that he’s hot.

and marriage? It’s a little too early to think about that, even though I can’t imagine there being someone better suited for me out there. WHO KNOWS DOE

Sometimes I wake up in the morning, look in the mirror, and ask myself the same thing.

OBAMA’S defense bill

Normally, I don’t openly discuss my political opinions online because I hate it when people disagree with me…and when it comes to politics, there’s ALWAYS someone out there who will disagree (Super annoying, am I right?).

But today, I feel as though I should not be making light of a situation that everyone in our country needs to be extremely (!!! :O) concerned about.

Yesterday afternoon while the world and I were preoccupied with the anticipation and excitement for new year’s eve festivities, President Obama signed in the H.R. 1540 law, the Defense Authorization bill, which included some changes from previous years.

I’ll try my best to keep this short, mostly because I think the people that need to realize this are probably people who don’t really like to read all that much.

SO, in a nutshell (sort of)

Obama signed this bill that authorizes the government to detain anyone that they suspect to be a “terrorist”…these are United States citizens that can be arrested and detained with no evidence (just suspicion).

If you like to pay for your things in cash, have more than 7 days worth of food in your home, or…I dont know, if you’re a political protestor, the government has reason to believe you may be engaging in terrorist activites.

Julian Assange? Yeah, he’ll probably be a goner soon enough.

The bill also gives the military another $662 billion dollars to spend for defense and “interests abroad”. Those last two words are CRUCIAL and people need to realize that this will mean more wars.

Where the hell are we even getting $662 BILLION DOLLARS FROM? It’s no secret that our country owes way too much money; we’re in way over our heads in debt. I’m just a little confused about how that’s going to work. If anyone can clear that confusion up for me, it’d be awesome.

Furthermore, Mr. Obama signed this bill even though he openly voiced his “reservations about the bill”. RIIIGHT…

All should remember that talk is cheap, and it doesn’t matter what he said, because he still signed this bill into law. If the president believes a bill is unconstitutional, he has a duty to veto it as our president.

Instead, he (along with congress) have enacted a law that undermines the very constitutional foundation that our country was built upon. Basically, what he’s saying is that even though he does have the power to take away ALL of your rights, he won’t do it. He’s literally saying that we’re just going to have to “trust him on this one.”

Essentially, the military preeetty much runs our country. Defense is important, of course, but when the Military-Industry-Complex has interests that are held to a higher priority than the welfare of American citizens, we should be worried.

It’s not just the bill itself that scares me, but also the precedent that it sets for future lawmaking. With recent events, we should open our eyes to the fact that our world is in a lot more trouble than we thought.

There are definitely many more issues regarding this bill, but seriously…I’m actually so sad to the point that I really really really don’t want to write about this anymore.

I find it so ironic that Mr. Obama had built an entire presidential campaign around the words “Hope” and “Change”. He has definitely brought change, but not the kind we had all hoped for.

This is a post recently (and by recently, I mean probably a few minutes ago) done by my little brother. He’s still in high school, but sometimes I think his wisdom and understanding reaches far beyond his years! High five

Should I delete my Facebook?

Yes

What is Facebook? A sort of empty space you fill with points of your life that most people have no interest in.

It was a couple days ago when the status appeared on my newsfeed: “Don’t post your drama on Facebook. No one is interested in it and you’re just…

As much as I hate to admit my new obsession for this week: Selena Gomez’ new single “Love You Like a Love Song”, I realize that I simply MUST share my thoughts with the masses (since I am sitting at home on a Friday night. Big surprise.) NOW, before you roll away in disgust and decide to unfollow my blog, listen to my reasoning.

(but first, check out those cute shiny things on her head…and that 100% animal friendly fuzzy vest. STYLIN’!)

Firstly, Selena Gomez is the lone remaining Disney star who hasn’t been the victim some sort of SEX!SEX!SEX! scandal. Not only that, we can also presume that she’s pro-gay since she is openly dating fellow songstress Justina Bieber. Right on, Selena!

Second, there’s something distinctly 90’s esque about this song, and being a 90’s baby, how could I resist? It’s too bad that the success with this song was probably just a fluke; I likely will not be lending an ear to her other musical endeavors.

Just give it a quick listen, and who knows, my fellow 90’s babies may experience hints of nostalgia as well…you might even bust out your old Ace of Base album!

Yeah, the video kind of sucks.

The only redeeming aspect is the blonde hippie Jesus playing the Sitar. Aaaand yeah, she still looks like she’s 14 and can’t actually sing very well. Who cares (people still like Taylor Swift, don’t they?) It would be horrendously biased and unfair of me to compare these two sparkling starlets to unrelated artists like, say…Adele or Freddie Mercury.

The important thing is that song is catchy and you better believe I’d be all over this at a karaoke bar.

“TURN THAT NOISE DOWN, I CAN’T HEAR MY SELENA GOMEZ!!”
